Charity Art

My 2025 charity project will be in support of SANDS - Saving Babies Lives & Supporting Bereaved families.
Working in conjunction with my local fabric shop ‘The Bramble Patch’. The idea is that as we progress through the design, purchasing the fabrics, silks etc the monies will be added to the funds.
As a number of The Bramble Patch customers as well as myself are involved in this project it will result in a number of quilts which will then be donated or auctioned off.
This will be a 12-month project and I will share our progress with you.

Post covid I was invited to join a local group trying to raise money for MIND.
Each member hand stitched a square for a quilt which depicted what they missed due to the pandemic.
The quilt has been in MK Library, MK Gallery, a couple of local art centres and we are now hoping to get it into The Derngate in Northampton.
Each time we are proud to be raising awareness and much-needed funds for MIND

I met Janet on a getaway held by a mutual friend, and found out about her wonderful embroidery art. After seeing some of her work I didn’t hesitate to ask her to make a special piece of art for myself.

Well what could I say when she sent me a snippet picture of what she had done, it looked fantastic; and I was excited to see it completed. Then wow, when I saw it completed and framed my mind was just blown and I actually cried with happy tears! It was just perfect and Janet just totally got me, it was everything I expected and more and I’ve never been that moved by any art before.

This definitely moved me, and every time I look at it I’m still blown away!

If you’re contemplating asking Janet for a commission I totally say go for it, you definitely won’t regret it and you’ll get a wonderful one off art piece, personally made for you.
