Exhibitions
I’m looking to exhibit my hand stitched art work – can you help?

My embroidered artwork offers a unique fusion of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary expression, blending meticulous threadwork with thought-provoking narratives. Each piece is a labor of love, carefully crafted to explore themes of memory, identity, and transformation, inviting the viewer to slow down and engage with the intimate process of creation.
The intricate textures and vibrant layers of thread create a tactile, almost sculptural experience that is both visually captivating and emotionally resonant.
By showcasing my work, your gallery will offer your audience a chance to experience the beauty of slow, meditative art in an age of fast-paced digital consumption.
My embroidery is not only a visual journey but a conversation about the intersection of past techniques and modern storytelling, making it a meaningful addition to any exhibition that values craftsmanship, depth, and innovation.

Inspired designs

Who wouldn’t want to own a piece of Clarice Cliff?

Inspired by my love of Clarice Cliff designs on her ceramic cups and vases etc I took pen to paper and designed three sections for a wall hanging. In this embroidered and textural design, I included techniques such as needle felting (which gave me a good base for the trees, stitches such as satin, bullion, chain stitches and blackwork.
All three panels have wadding underneath which helps give a 3D/fullness effect. I purposely chose bright, vivid threads just as Clarice would have chosen her paint pallet
Overall, I think this is a really stunning and unique design. I may well produce more in the future – watch this space!
From design to completion, it took me approximately 216 hours.

Architectural Designs

We’ve been to Cadiz numerous times. The city has an amazing history. The architecture is so diverse with each turn of the cobbled streets. The juxtaposition of a Roman Amphitheatre that sits so close to a Catholic Cathedral and there is an amazing restaurant that makes the best Spaghetti Bolognese I’ve EVER tasted!

It was on these visits that inspired me to create a hand embroidery piece of the Cathedral of Cadiz [Catedral de Santa Cruz de Cadiz] which is set against the sea on one side and a beautiful restful open square at its front. I did some drawings and decided I liked the back vista of the cathedral which included the sea defence blocks and the pebbled pathway with its palm trees.

This project took over 3 months to produce. The stitches are varied and in some areas are very small. I had to consider shading and light as well as dimensions of the structures, the trees and the sea wall.
The final piece measures: Height 30cm x 20cm width
